Decisions at my company happen in 80-message Slack threads and then nobody remembers who agreed to do what. By Monday the thread is buried under newer noise.
Create a prompt that ingests a pasted {{thread}} and outputs: a 3-line decision summary, a list of action items each as 'Owner — task — due', a short 'Open questions' list, and an explicit 'Decisions made' section. It must attribute owners only when the thread clearly assigns them (otherwise 'unassigned'), preserve any dates mentioned, and ignore banter and emoji noise. Never invent a deadline.
The hard part: people change their minds mid-thread. A strong solution reflects the LATEST decision, not the first one, and flags direct contradictions instead of silently picking a winner. Show it on a realistically chaotic thread where a decision gets reversed twice.
