Find the Contradictions in a Project Brief

Write a reusable prompt with replaceable inputs. Submit your prompt and one test output for this example.

Task: Review a deliberately inconsistent project brief.

Example input: Fictional brief: “Build a public workshop registration page that anyone can use without signing in. Only existing members should be able to register. Publish each attendee’s name on the page so people can see who is coming, but keep all registration details private. Capacity is 30 people with no waitlist. The form must continue accepting registrations after capacity is reached. Confirmation should be immediate, although every registration requires manual approval. The event date, cancellation policy, and membership-verification method are not yet specified.”

Constraints:

  • Do not silently decide which conflicting requirement wins.
  • Separate contradictions from ordinary unknowns.
  • Keep clarification questions neutral and tied to a design decision.

Required output from your prompt: Create an issue register with at least four conflicts, three missing details, and a proposed order for resolving them.

Success checks:

  • Public attendee names and private details are recognized as a privacy conflict.
  • Capacity and continued acceptance are addressed.
  • Immediate confirmation and manual approval are distinguished.
  • The output leaves the final policy decisions to the brief’s owner.
