If one of your posts is taken down, you find out two ways: a notification in your bell, and a Moderation decision section on the post itself in My Blogs.
What the decision tells you
Open the post from My Blogs and the decision sits at the top, above your own writing. It states the date, the policy category, and the reason a moderator wrote for you. Read the reason first — it is written to be acted on, not to be filed.
What changes while it is removed
- The post is not publicly visible, and its link returns a not-found page.
- You can't edit it, change its status, change what it links to, change its images, or delete it.
- Its views stop counting toward the open earning period. If the post comes back after that period closes, those views are not recovered.
- Any images on it are moved out of public storage and held privately. They can be put back for 30 days.
The freeze is not a punishment — it keeps the reason you were given true. If you could rewrite the post, the decision on the record would describe words that are no longer in it.
Your status is untouched
A takedown does not unpublish your post. If it was published, it stays published underneath, which is exactly what it returns to if the decision is reversed.
If you think it is wrong
The decision section has an Appeal this removal action. It opens a message with the post already identified, so you only have to write your side. Say what you think we got wrong. You do not need to know who reported it, and we will not tell you.
What not to do
Don't repost the same content under a new title. That is the one response that turns a single decision into a pattern, and the pattern is what costs an account. Appeal instead, or rewrite what the reason named and publish that.
